Difference Between Marshmallow And Lollipop

Android Marshmallow is the Google's upcoming update to Android . What the new features are which differentiates it with previous versions are listed below .

App Permissions : Android Marshmallow introduces a redesigned application permission model . Users can now grant or deny individual app permissions . In Android Lollipop or other previous versions all permissions are automatically granted on accepting .
Battery Life : It has a new power management scheme called Doze in which the level of background application activity is reduced when a device's motion sensors determine that it is not being actively handled by its user. Lollipop also aims to improve battery consumption through a series of optimizations known as "Project Volta".
Finger Print Recognition : Android Marshmallow provides native support for fingerprint recognition on supported devices via a standard API . In Lollipop or previous versions , each app manufacturer has its own software solution implemented into the system due to lack of standard support for fingerprint recognition .
Marshmallow appears to be a mature android os . Lollipop feels to be a premature product .
