Invention and Innovation , both belonging to a same context are very much different .

Invention Innovation
An invention is a unique or novel device, method, composition or process. The invention process is a process within an overall engineering and product development process. Innovation is the realization of a new idea or invention , whether it be a societal benefit, commercialization, market entry, or monetization.
Invention is the first occurrence of an idea for a new product or process Innovation is the first attempt to carry it out into practice .
It is characterized by ideas and prototypes . It is characterized by substantiative changes , improvements and delivery .
Invention is coming up with a new and unique way to solve a problem . Innovation is creating a workable efficient solution which can be put to use .
