WhatsApp is available for smartphones (Windows Phone , Android , Symbian , iOS ,Blackberry OS, Tizen ) and can also be accessed on web Viber is available for desktop(Windows , OS X , Unix-like, Bada , Linux) , smartphones (Windows Phone , Android , Symbian , iOS ,Blackberry OS ) but cannot be accessed on web.
There is a subscription amount for WhatsApp of $1 after one year. Viber is free without any subscription . However , Viber provides premium icons for users which have to be paid for .
Whatsapp is built on Erlang programming language . Written in C/C++/Python (desktop, using SIP and Qt frameworks), Objective-C (iOS), Java (Android).
Available in 32 Languages Available in 30 languages .
