Difference Between Dual And Quad Core

Cores are the execution units inside a processor which maintains correct program state, registers, and correct execution order, and performing the operations through ALUs. Processors come with multiple cores most commonly as dual core and quad core .

Dual Core Processor Quad Core Processor
A dual-core processor is a chip with two independent cores . A quad-core processor is a chip with four independent cores that read and execute central processing unit (CPU) instructions such as add, move data, and branch.
It is generally slower than a quad-core processor . It is faster than a dual-core processor however results vary depending on the habits of the computer user, the nature of the programs being run, and the compatibility of the processor with other hardware in the system as a whole.
