Pokémon X and Y were both released on October 12, 2013. They were the first Pokémon games to be released on the Nintendo 3DS, followed by Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, a remake of Ruby and Sapphire, on November 21, 2014. They were also the first Pokémon games to feauture the element of Mega Evolution, shortly followed by, again, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
